Scoring/Shooting:

Outstanding pure shooter. Tremendous range. Very quick release; will shoot in any situation if given the slightest daylight. More than a spot-up shooting specialist, though... He can also pull up off the dribble, or get to the basket if the defender crowds him and overplays the shot.

Rebounding:

Unremarkable rebounding ability for a SG. Wiry strong but not bulky, so no threat to dominate the glass.

Passing/Ballhandling:

Not a terrible ballhandler for a guard; can also bring the ball down in a pinch. Shows the skill to put the ball on the floor and attack if the defense doesn't respect his driving ability. Not a selfish player, but optimal use isn't as a playmaker.

Intangibles:

Great locker room presence. One of the NBA's classiest players. Unselfish and easy to play with. Has a strong work ethic and stays in top shape.

Synopsis:

Allen is on the downside of his career but is still one of the league's preeminent shooters and a strong offensive threat. Commitment to fitness and style of play makes him less of an aging risk than other older guards. Perfect fit in Boston alongside KG and Pierce.
